She Labeled, She Printed, She Canvased...

So. That was warm. I chose entirely the wrong day to canvas the neighborhood with my fliers.

I should explain.

I'm a shy girl. I'm super-fun when in my element (some would say "hilarious" I would say that I especially love those people), but canvasing a neighborhood in the warm afternoon sun, sweat rolling down my generally well make-uped forehead, going out of my way to introduce myself and invite people over to my home? Oh dear god.

It would be much easier if I was super fluent in the art of talking about anything to anyone. But I'm not. I'm an observer, a wallflower with wit if you will, who can be sarcastic with the best of them, but more often, just observes quietly and smiles from the corner (especially if that corner is situated in any way near an edible dip of any kind, then I'll never leave)

But here's the thing. I like Scentsy. I believe in Scentsy. I am one of those nerdy fans about Scentsy in which I eagerly wait for the new new scents and warmers and catalogs. So it makes the going house to house, introducing myself, a whole lot easier. Not easy. No way. It's never easy to put yourself out there, but when you're doing it about something you believe in...

So. To all those fabulous people out there that I met today. And especially to the lovely woman who forgave me when in my nervousness I sputtered "I like this because my child no get on fire" - and can I just say, the fact that you did not LAUGH IN MY FACE shows you are quite a Lady, because that is quite possibly one of the dumbest things I have ever said. You all were so kind to me, so patient with me, my nervousness and my stuttering, and you were all so kind to my three year old and her little pink stroller. Thank you for that.

I hope to see you all at the Open House. If for nothing more than my banana bread. I'm excited to have you there, and to meet you all again. :)

Knowing you, this was incredibly difficult to do - especially with your critter-cake with you. Major points for having the guts to do this.

Rachael,
Love the blog. I look forward to the open house (Friday from 4-8, be there or have a house that smells like straight armpit) so that I can enter the drawing and smell all the delightful scents! It's just "scentsible" to show up, I mean I just "odor" you! I'll be "aroma"ing around buying all sorts of things! I totally can't wait for my Scentsy party (I'll schedule it Friday)!!!! I'm so glad I'm friends "whiff" you!

You've got some good promo shots. I really like the one to the direct right of this entry.

And your description describes you perfectly.

Good job, Rachael! I hope your Open House is a success. :)

I am impatiently awaiting the arrival of my Scentsy stuff! I can't wait! I know it's only been like a day since I ordered it, but I'm ready for it to get here already!!!

If I win the lottery I am going to buy a *beep* load of warmers and wax, and the car candles too. Have you tried those yet? I want it ALL!
