Comments From Happy Customers

"Rachael!! My Scentsy came tonight! I had it open in record timing and plugged in and OMG it is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. It is the exact scent I was looking for. My husband even loves it."

"My house smells amazing! Like I've been baking cookies! I love Scentsy!"

"Oh man, I could have this in my bedroom. And the living room. I could put them everywhere. These scents are wonderful."

"I didn't think I would like it as much as I do. I mean, another candle product, right? I was wrong. I am so glad I bought Scentsy. People ask me about my lovely smelling home all the time. And I tell them, Scentsy!"

"A child I babysit came over this afternoon, and the first thing he said was: 'Your house smells so yummy!!' Yeah. Yeah it does."

"These Scents smell like the titles. You know how something is called one thing, and smells like something else? And it's often not that good? Scentsy smells accurate. Everything I smell, I'm pleasantly surprised."

"I can't wait to get my order. I've told everyone about Scentsy since I went to your Scentsy party. I start just about every conversation with 'Have you heard of Scentsy'? LOL"

"Is my order here yet? Just checking in... because you know, I can't wait to use it. My husband thinks I'm nuts. Yeah, wait 'till he smells it."

"You were talking about it a lot, Rachael. And I was like: 'Um, what is her deal?' And wow. WOW. I get it. I totally, totally get it. When can I host a party?"

"I love having people visit my house now. Everyone remarks on the scent. And I get to show them the warmer, and they are all blown away. Tell me about it! I'm NEVER going back to candles. No way."

These are some of the recent comments I've gotten from my customers. THIS is why I sell Scentsy. I firmly believe through my own experience that Scentsy can change your home for the better. I hear constantly how good my customers feel once they step through their front door. They're home from a long day, and Scentsy is there to greet them and melt away all of the chaos. And I LOVE hearing that the husbands have become hooked. Scentsy really is amazing. Why? Because it's the ingenious solution to a series of age old problems. No more fire hazard. No more worrying about your children and pets. No more frustration over the lack of Scent throw. Scentsy solves all of those worries. And the warmers are GORGEOUS.

So what about you? Are you ready to host a Scent Event in your home? Perhaps an online party? Contact me, and let me introduce you to something that I have fallen nose over heels for. ;)

I Love What I Do

I have been completely thrilled with the excitement to being a Scentsy Consultant. Wow, people LOVE Scentsy. I mean, I love Scentsy, I started selling Scentsy because I find it to be an absolutely incredible product, but some people just about jump out of their skin when they learn I am now a Consultant.

I can't help it. I blush. I smile. I say bashfully, as if I was telling a boy I like him, "Yes, I sell Scentsy. Yes, it is as fabulous as you could imagine." *giggle* Perhaps that is not the most professional way of approaching this business, but I am straight up enamoured by Scentsy. I love all the warmers, the scents, the bars, bricks, the room sprays, the glorious car candles, and the wonderful people I get to meet when I have Scentsy parties. My Hostesses are fabulous, their homes beautiful, their friends so.much.fun. Really? This is my job? How did I get so lucky?? Just the other day I sat around a table with a good friend, spending hours pouring over each individual fragrance and comparing the thoughts we had when smelling them. It is so much fun placing scents, recalling memories, and laughing about each others random stories that the scents bring up. We talked about exs, about childhood, about our mothers, about our lives. All because of 80 little Scentsy testers. We had a riot of a good time. And just today, I had a good friend who trekked over an HOUR to come and smell all of my delicious testers. When she got to Cashmere, her eyes rolled back in her head and she declared: "Oh, I could just roll around naked in this scent. OH MY GOD THIS IS AMAZING."

My experience with Scentsy has been just that (More"oh my god this is amazing!" Less rolling around naked, but hey, the night is young). Bringing people together (in a non clothing-optional kind of way), in laughter and reminiscence. I enjoy watching my customer's faces light up when they stumble across a fragrance they find truly spectacular. My personal favorites are Pima Cotton (bright, clean, elegant), and Sweet Indulgence (A sexy, romantic night in, think bottle of wine and a good movie). I have been really surprised to learn what others favor. I know of one customer who is as tough as they come, she is in the business of putting people in their place and she is GOOD at what she does. Her favorite? Watermelon Patch. Quite possibly the sweetest, friendliest, cuddliest scent Scentsy currently offers. Just another reason why I love this job. Through something as simple as scents, I get to meet new people, and learn about them. And my new customers never cease to fascinate me. They all have wonderful stories of what their favorite scents remind them of, or where a certain scent transports them to in their memory. The smiles and laughter, and genuine gratitude that I receive from my fabulous customers demonstrates to me that I made the right choice in selling Scentsy.

So, on that note, I implore you all to remember that some scents will soon be discontinued. Many of these scents are utterly fabulous, and I honestly can't stand the idea of losing them (thus my giant stock pile of certain scents in my laundry room). If you have yet to purchase Scentsy, and are not sure where to start, I urge to consider some of those being discontinued. Such as:

Red Delicious (An apple orchard, at sunrise, with dew on the leaves and trees - crisp and gorgeously fragrant)
Sweet Indulgence (Romance. Tender love. This is a very layered scent, in which different notes strike you every time you walk into the room. I liken it to sweet figs and passionate love. If you've ever fallen head over heels for someone, I imagine you know the feeling I'm getting at.)
Toasted Apple Butter (A fresh baked apple pie, with rich cinnamon and the freshest butter, what I imagine you would stumble across at Ms. Paula Dean's home)
Mediterranean Spa (A cooling, rejuvenating face mask. Citrusy and bright, this is an incredibly soothing scent)
Cashmere (Elegance. Sexy, refined, spectacular elegance.)
Sugar (light and ethereal, one of the most gorgeous scents by Scentsy)
Luxe Vanilla (this scent is truly fabulous. It is fresh, clean and bright, yet has the depth of vanilla. One of my absolute favorites)
Irish Cream (rich decadence, indulgent and delicious. Think all the best smelling coffee shops you've ever stumbled across)
Exotic Vanilla (I call this the Man Vanilla. There is a sexy, robust quality to it, like your man picking you up and carrying you over the thresh hold, staring into your eyes, and completely taken with your beauty. And just when you don't think you can stand another second of this intoxicating sexuality, there are notes of fragrant vanilla, that mellows it all out, and makes very memorable)
Meadow Pear (Bright, with an explosion of sweet. It's like opening a bag of fresh Jelly Belly's Jelly Beans)
Tea Blossom (Soothing and relaxing, this is my cure to headaches. This scent never ceases to melt all of my cares away)

If you would like to purchase Scentsy, remember, in the month of August, everything is 10% off. I invite you to discover your favorite Scentsy fragrance.

She Labeled, She Printed, She Canvased...

So. That was warm. I chose entirely the wrong day to canvas the neighborhood with my fliers.

I should explain.

I'm a shy girl. I'm super-fun when in my element (some would say "hilarious" I would say that I especially love those people), but canvasing a neighborhood in the warm afternoon sun, sweat rolling down my generally well make-uped forehead, going out of my way to introduce myself and invite people over to my home? Oh dear god.

It would be much easier if I was super fluent in the art of talking about anything to anyone. But I'm not. I'm an observer, a wallflower with wit if you will, who can be sarcastic with the best of them, but more often, just observes quietly and smiles from the corner (especially if that corner is situated in any way near an edible dip of any kind, then I'll never leave)

But here's the thing. I like Scentsy. I believe in Scentsy. I am one of those nerdy fans about Scentsy in which I eagerly wait for the new new scents and warmers and catalogs. So it makes the going house to house, introducing myself, a whole lot easier. Not easy. No way. It's never easy to put yourself out there, but when you're doing it about something you believe in...

So. To all those fabulous people out there that I met today. And especially to the lovely woman who forgave me when in my nervousness I sputtered "I like this because my child no get on fire" - and can I just say, the fact that you did not LAUGH IN MY FACE shows you are quite a Lady, because that is quite possibly one of the dumbest things I have ever said. You all were so kind to me, so patient with me, my nervousness and my stuttering, and you were all so kind to my three year old and her little pink stroller. Thank you for that.

I hope to see you all at the Open House. If for nothing more than my banana bread. I'm excited to have you there, and to meet you all again. :)

Alright boys and girls. I realize that this blog is paiiiiiiiiiiinfully under construction. I apologize. It will be up to my very prissy standards soon. Soonish. Sooner. It better be, anyway.

So please, take a deep breath, channel your inner gorgeous zen (really, that's what you wear while talking in your calming head voice? My darling, you look fabulous. What are those shoes, Manolos? And my god, those legs! You must work out!), and give me a few hours, nay, even a few days (oh god please don't let this stretch on a few days) while I put on my trusty tool belt (which seems to have shrunk in size... what the hell?) And do my magic. And by magic, I mean, follow the cues of blogger, and let it lead me to a land of wonderful. Full of nectar and yummy smelling things. For that is where my Scentsy Heaven lies...

Patience, my Lovelies, patience!
